Ashley + Charles |Harbour House Brunch Wedding

Ashley and Charles were the sweetest young couple! I was so happy that they found me and asked me to photograph their wedding day. Being from out of town ( Agusta, Georgia) I’m sure it was a bit nerve-racking trying to plan all of their vendors. Ashley and Charles chose Harbour House as their venue and I was so excited to work with all of their amazing staff again!

When I met them both in person for their Jetty Park Beach Engagement Session they were dressed to perfection with beautiful pink, ivory, and blue tones. While taking their portraits I knew they were going to be so fun and great to work with on wedding day. They are so sweet and loving towards each other and we all shared a ton of laughs,

The Love Story:

Ashley and Charles met on the dating app, Bumble! They shared the same values and had a great conversation right off the bat. They went on their first date to the bowling alley within a week! Charles said he loves Ashley’s personality and intellect. Ashley said she fell in love with his sweet personality. She also said that he is very loyal and dependable and she knows she can always count on him. Ashley and Charles enjoy taking walks with their dogs, going to the movie theater, and going on trips to the beach together.

After two and a half years together Charles took Ashley to the park where they had one of their first dates! His original plan was to propose on a beach trip to Jekyll Island, but the engagement ring arrived several weeks ahead of time and he couldn’t wait (how stinking sweet is that). It was a rainy Monday, the park was empty and he took Ashley down to the water and proposed at a beautiful sunset!

The Ceremony

It was a beautiful sunny morning on April 20, 2023. Ashley and Charles were married on the beach at The Harbour House under a beautiful driftwood archway in front of their closest friends and family. Around 50 guests traveled from all over to witness the vows between the two. They did a beautiful sand ceremony and then the groom kissed the bride!

After they said I do we took lots of family portraits and then it was time for husband and wife portraits (my fave part of the day)! The great thing about Harbour House is that they have a few different locations to take photos at. The sun was incredibly bright since it was around 12 noon so we took a few shots on the beach and then moved on to some other spots in the shade! You can see below all of the different options we used.

The Reception

After portraits, they were announced as Mr. and Mrs. Cusimano they were seated and served brunch, and after prayers, they dug in! After a few speeches made by her dad (he was so hilarious), the groom’s sister, and a few other family members they made the way downstairs for party time! It was such a pleasure getting to know Ashley and Charles and meeting their sweet families! Everyone wished them well while blowing bubbles as they exited the venue as Mr. and Mrs!
